Love It or Leave It (Deluxe Edition)
Louise Golbey is an established artist on the Soul scene of London and beyond. She has released a deluxe edition of her EP – ‘Love It or Leave It’. The EP shows Louise’s more sassy side and a move into a new, creative direction. Each track tackles the common theme of ‘Love‘, but from various angles.
‘Love It or Leave It’ begins with the bluesy mid-tempo ‘I Have Never’, written and produced by Golbey and Adam Rust (JP Cooper) it has hints of Tropical House sounds in its instrumental. The EP also features the single ‘Please Don’t’ produced by Freemonk and accompanied by a music video in which she shows off her dancing skills. This track has already received a lot of airplay on national and international radio stations.
Q Mike Slim Daron
Twelve years since their last joint album, platinum-selling and Grammy Award-winning R&B group 112 have returned with their sixth studio album, ‘Q Mike Slim Darron’. The new album, set to be released via eOne Music on 27th October features the single ‘Dangerous Games’, for which they’ve also recently released a video for. The project is full of great collaborations with fellow 90’s group Jagged Edge and the legendary Faith Evans.
Although the group has not released a new album prior to this in many years, they’ve been actively touring and hinted at a reunion in the studio for some time now. Additionally, each member has released at least one solo album, reflecting their own individual style.
Who To Love
Lina is back, R&B/Soul singer and songwriter Lina Loi releases her long-awaited single, ‘Who To Love’, produced by Regi Myrix, is an energetic dance song with a hint of old-school Funk. The vocal powerhouse has a combination of vintage Soul, R&B and jazz, Lina performs with a modern-day freshness that makes you want to dance when you hear the track.
‘Who To Love’ debuted to great fanfare and appreciation as a “Breaker” on The Soul Connoisseurs Top 20 Chart, which aims to be the first definitive top 20 Soul chart embracing all aspects of Soul.
The single comes from Lina Loi’s upcoming new album, ‘Supernatural Love’, set for release February 13, 2018.
Eric Benet EP
Four-time Grammy-nominated R&B/Soul singer, Eric Benet has just released his eighth studio album, entitled ‘Eric Benét’ via BMG. Known for tracks like ‘Spend My Life’ Benet has worked with longtime music collaborator Demonte Posey on this 13 track album.
The EP features its lead single ‘Can’t Tell U Enough’, it is an energetic track with melodious vocals and vibrant horns, all about re-igniting the fire in a relationship. The EP is full of R&B love songs with ‘Sunshine’ which has already begun climbing the radio charts alongside some smooth 80s vibe slow jams and funky edgy party jams.
MC Lyte & jazz musician Arturo Sandoval both feature on the album and his smooth vocals, and authentic artistry, the album is an aural treat for every true R&B fan out there.
Eric has been touring with R&B standard bearers Anthony Hamilton & Lalah Hathaway in London, Manchester & Birmingham.
Soul II Soul key member, Simon Law has produced and written song for numerous artist since his debut back in the 80’s. He co-wrote ‘Back To Life’ one of their Grammy-winning songs and has worked on all but one album with them.
Law debuted his solo album ‘Look to the Sky’ during the summer via Dome records. The album features ‘Rocket Ship’ with vocals by Lain Gray a former member of Birmingham band Nu Colours. The song is mixed by Donal Hodgson, String’s longtime recording engineers and features collaborations with Jazzie B OBE, Adrian Ecclestone, Jen Schaffer, Chante Moore, Joanna Law and Maxi Priest.
