Mark “Deadly” Smedley started his love of Soul, Jazz, Funk, Dance and Reggae in the late 70’s, being educated at the school of Robbie Vincent, Greg Edwards & David Rodigan. His career took off when he landed the position of Head of Production at Kiss 100 and also presented specialist and daytime shows. Deadly has held DJ residencies and appeared at almost every London nightclub as well as the main London Hotels for Black Tie Events.

Deadly left Kiss 100 in 1999 and set up Deadly Productions, producing radio commercials primarily for large record companies whilst taking a break from presenting on air but he wasn’t ready to hang up his decks forever, and started to present Mi-Afternoons from 1-4pm every weekday for over 3 years, but you can now catch him every Saturday morning for his blend of humour, nostalgic throwback, soulful anthems, mixes and more on Saturday breakfasts.
