A Handful Of Exclusive Releases For You To Look Out For In The Coming Weeks...
Thinking of You
Since Shaila Prospere’s return, she has been producing hit after hit and with her dropping the new album ‘Back to Life’ earlier this year it has been non-stop radio play.
The Soul Syndicate remix ‘Thinking of You’, is Prospere’s interpretation of Sister Sledge’s song, ‘Thinking of You’, off of their 1979 album ‘We Are Family’. The laid back and soulful version is very different to the original and she has truly made the tack her own and produced some beautiful vocals. The song has an 80s UK feels, much like her whole album, really taking listeners back whilst showcasing her talents and setting herself apart from UK soul.
‘Back to Life’ is packed with soulful tracks and includes her two previous singles ‘Let Me Be Yours’ and ‘Family’ which received a lot of love. It just shows there is more yet to come from the soulful songstress and if you love Soul music then this is the album for you.

This year we have been graced with two EP’s ‘Earth’ & ‘Wind’ and to complete the set we now have ‘Fire’ from the twice-nominated Grammy superstar Eric Roberson.
Each EP represents different elements, in this case representing different songs. For his latest EP ‘Fire’ it is more personal and gives a socially conscious vibe. Opening the album with ‘Slave Owners’ the song is about people walking around with their pockets filled with slaved owners which he is referring to the dollar bills. It has such a deep message nevertheless the Indie soul man produces another great record with his sultry vocals. It is great single to start the mini album off.
Eric calls ‘Fire’ and it’s eight-song set “My most outspoken and importable album to date.” Not only has he delivered some great tracks he is addressing deep messages which will also get you thinking.
It is a shame the trio is complete but it has produced some great hits from ‘Love Her’ to ‘Million Dollars’. We look forward to more good music from the Soul Star.
