Mi-Exclusive
A Handful Of Exclusive Releases For You To Look Out For In The Coming Weeks...

i2 Love Music, Vol 1
Our first exclusive is a wonderful compilation album from the legendary Errol Henry and his new i2 Music Group Company. We recently discussed his four-track sampler featuring; Le Velle, Carmichael MusicLover, JFly and Everett and now we have the complete album. The album consists of twelve tracks of exemplary quality and features a compelling mixture of outstanding UK and U.S. artists.
The most breath-taking track is from two of the biggest names in Soul music, Joyce Irby former lead of 80’s multi-million selling R&B group Klymaxx and Howard Hewitt from the supergroup Shalamar. Together with their track ‘Because You’ it shows that creating great records never leave truly gifted artists.
The album also features the talented Everett who was introduced to the world earlier this year. His track ‘First Night’ sent the UK R&B charts into meltdown and has been included in the compilation along with his single ‘Your Side of Love’, co-written by Richard Derbyshire which is on his upcoming album.
It is a fantastic compilation of tracks from various artist and The i2 Music Group can truly assert its position as a global-centric label on the strength of its forthcoming material and we look forward to what is to come.
Games (North Street Remix)
Last month we served you ‘Games Remix’ by legendary Soul singer Frederick from his incredible album entitled ‘Frederick’. Now Ramrock Blue Records are delighted to present the Ashley Beedle North Street Remix of Frederick’s Rare Groove classic ‘Games’, the follow up to Frederick’s highly acclaimed love ballad ‘I Can’t Help But Love You’.
When Frederick released the remix he stuck faithfully to the original arrangement, retaining the mysterious, soulful flavour of the 1985 release with Frederick’s voice soaring above the groove – sounding as emotive today as they did back in the day.
Ashley Beedle and the North Street Crew – Darren Morris & Jo Wallace take the remix and run with it, giving it the North Street treatment, adding strings, extra keyboards and underpinning it with a tough bass line. The result is, quite simply, beautiful.

Treat Her Right (Remix)
Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Calvin Richardson teamed up with K-CI and Faith Hailey for the official remix to his single ‘Treat Her Right’. The collaboration for the remix helps turn the tune into a great urban classic. Calvin Richardson has always delivered pure, raw, soul-baring R&B and the new single shares the secret ingredient to any relationship. He reminds fellas about how they can keep their lady happy by simply making her feel special.
His upcoming album ‘All or Nothing’ showcases his evolution touching on everything Soul, R&B and Pop and has something for everyone from love, romance to laughter. Arguably his best album yet, following his 2014’s album ‘I Am Calvin’
Show Me The Love
MF Robots are set to release their fourth soulful single ‘Show Me The Love’, following the success of their previous singles ‘Come On With The Good Thing’ and ‘The Night is Calling’. With this track, the duo makes a raucous return to their funky roots, showing yet another side of what they do best. The track is taken from their debut album out March 2018.
The forthcoming debut album from MF Robots will feature a collection of body-moving songs and plenty of Funky pop hooks, created by the dynamic duo, who met while performing in legendary band Brand New Heavies.
Their music combines an eclectic plethora of musical styles including hard Funk, Electronic, Acid jazz, Smooth soul, and Pop sensibilities to form their unique sound.

Pineapple & Dome
Prolific Jazz hybrid duo Blue Lab Beats release two new cuts ‘Pineapple’ and ‘Dome’ with the announcement of their much-anticipated debut album Crossover ‘Xover’.
The dual release provides an exciting snapshot of what is to come from their debut LP. Inspired by ‘Yembele’ by Samba Mapangala, first cut ‘Pineapple’ opens with Mr DM’s bubbling guitar hook laid over a staccato percussive rhythm (provided by drummer Moses Boyd), the smokey brass of Jazz collective NÉRIJA free flows, evoking a relaxed, tropical ambience befitting the track’s moniker. On the flip side is ‘Dome’, a grooving hip-hop cut that marries NK-OK’s signature smooth beats with syncopated bars from rap collective OthaSoul and layers of textured vocoder from Daniel Taylor.
The upcoming EP ‘Xover’ is set to include the likes of Kojey Radical, Nubya Garcia, Otha Soul and more, and will be a thrilling chapter in the rise of the group and the London jazz scene they represent.
Formed in mid-2016, Blue Lab Beats was born out of a desire to create a sample-free sound, contrary to the status quo.
