Steve Nichol, the founder of the acclaimed London soul legends Loose Ends, first champions of the British soul scene and pioneers in their own right. Steve wrote much of their most successful and timeless music. Steve is now back after a 30-year hiatus with a new solo album project ‘SON One’ and with an exclusive UK tour #InTheEnds.
Steve has embarked on a new album project with production and writing collaborations from UK heavyweight soul artists, Soulpersona and George Anderson as well as US artist and Loose Ends ft Jane Eugene MD Craig T Cooper. The album features vocal collaborations with Ellene Masri and Debby Bracknell, also featuring Flautist Ragan Whiteside. Future collaborations to come with the legendary Patrice Rushen and of course, Loose Ends partner Jane Eugene. We may even see a collaboration with UK soulstress Natasha Watts and the exceptional talent of newcomer Luke Burr.
The UK tour will take the audience on a journey through all four of his timeless Loose Ends albums in a very intimate and up close setting. Backed by his full band and exquisite lead of fellow Guildhall graduate and of jazz vocalist Ray Estaire. This tour is a true worldwide exclusive premiere of beautiful music that has stood the test of time over the last 35 years.
