Unfortunately, our radio station will no longer be available on Google smart speakers from June 12th. Google has informed us and many other Google Home Actions that they are phasing out the platforms “Conversational Actions” on which we are based, without providing a suitable alternative. The potentially viable replacement solution, ‘Media Actions’, is not expected to be public-ready by the time the platform is discontinued.
We have made it clear to Google that we are very unhappy with the situation.
The dialog continues, but Google has admitted that it is unlikely that there will be anything in place by the cutoff date.
