Mickey D has served as a Senior A&R Director at WEA and has the highest level of experience. His label career began at EMI and then onto WEA, where he remained until 2001. He has developed and guided the careers of many successful artists, including Mark Morrison, Shola Ama, Cleopatra and Glamma Kid.

Mickey has had many chart success including Mark Morrison, ‘Return of the Mack’, Shola Ama, ‘You Might Need Somebody’, Cleopatra, ‘Cleopatra’s Theme’, Glamma Kid, ‘Taboo’ and many more.

Mickey’s ability to establish and maintain excellent rapport as well as successful working relationships with artists and management stems from his very wide-ranging musical knowledge, being a tastemaker, having commercial ears and a likeable nature. He is well known as such throughout his branch of the business by artists, managers, producers, songwriters and engineers, which continue to be evidenced by the on-going support.
