Ramrock Red Records are delighted to introduce Waterson; a multi-faceted artist, producer, songwriter, composer and bon viveur par excellence who teams up here on the ‘Ego’ EP with legendary music producer/remixer, Ashley Beedle. With over 4 million streams of his 2015 ‘Tell Me’ dance classic, Waterson is currently enjoying massive BBC Radio1 exposure on Annie Mac + Nemone’s radio shows with his collaboration with remix giant KDA and their track ‘Scars’.

‘Ego’ is Waterson’s first single, taken from a selection of new musical outings with Ashley Beedle – he explains, “this track is about the battle between ambition and inner peace. I became interested in the idea of having to drop my own ego to move forward with my craft, dispensing with the ‘false self’ and allowing the ‘real me’ to evolve – the lyrics developed during this process”.

The tempo and feel of both the ‘Vocal’ and ‘Club’ Remixes invoke the flavour of those late night, slinky, hypnotic tracks played at famed NY nightclub, the Saint or the legendary, bacchanalian parties on Fire Island in the 70’s. Let’s face it – who doesn’t love a sleazy, twilight hours, electronic bassline while pondering the Meaning of Life at 3am in the morning? The Kryptogram remixes transport you to those afternoon pool side parties where glamour and sophistication rubbed shoulders with a splash of Campari, soda and a long, cool breeze. With its simple but deadly synth hook and the plethora of remixes to choose from, ‘Ego’ will to burrow into your brain and your play box – to resist will be like trying to eat a donut without licking your lips.

Shana’s version called ‘In Love’ is delivered with total respect and making it her own with woozy modern day vocals.

Judi Jackson - 'Worth It'

Judi Jackson is set to be the next big star in jazz and as always Mi-Soul is ahead of the game. Judi has sung with and shared a stage with a myriad of world-class talents including Mavis Staples and last spring Jackson performed her original song ‘Only Love’ with Grammy Award-winning fusion band Snarky Puppy. Influenced by the likes of Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald. The accomplished singer and songwriter as has been described as possessing a tone and poise beyond her years at the age of 24.

Ajia - 'Hype'

Ajia delivers her debut EP ‘Visions’ which is pure, smooth, classy and sassy. Produced by multi-talented Ryan Price the EP includes previous releases ‘Real Love’ with its jazz postulations, layered harmonies and ‘Flavours’ which talks about unity. Along with four new tracks which range from the opening up-tempo ‘Hype’ to the neo-soul fused ‘So Good’. Ajia delivers sweet soulful quality vocals and deeply meaningful lyrics. Independent artist Caitlyn Scarlett has well over 7 million streams on Spotify alone and has landed on new music Friday playlists in the UK, US, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and Japan. After signing a publishing deal with BMG in summer 2017 she has been in high demand for her writing. Roc Nation personally requested her to join the Rihanna writing camp that took place in London in 2016. During the camp, she wrote with the likes of DJ Dahi (Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean), Melo x (Beyoncé) and Levi Lennox (M.I.A, Krept & Konan, Zayn Malik).

Singer, songwriter and producer Ruby Francis has just dropped her new single ‘All of The Time’ from her brand new EP ‘To Be Fair’. Since Francis stepped on the scene she has been making a name for herself with singles such as ‘Move’, ‘On My Knees’ and ‘Traffic Lights’. Being influenced by the likes of Chaka Khan and Stevie Wonder, Francis has a soulful and sensual vibe which brings something new and fresh to the game, really putting her own stamp on her music.

Manchester, UK based record label SupaEarth Records let off their latest release – SUPA003 - ‘Extra High’. ‘Extra High’ is a collaboration between UK based DJ / Producer Ruff Diamond, Glitterbox Recordings signed artist TAZ, and the aspiring, and much-loved Berlin artist- Wanja Janeva. A serious funk heavy 120 BPM Disco track, the story behind this record is an interesting one. Earlier this year, TAZ was perched at the top of the Traxsource Chart feat alongside Inaya Day on the legendary Mousse T’s outstanding record ‘Rock The Mic’ (Glitterbox Recordings / Defected Records), a track that you now hear regularly played out everywhere. Combining with the talents of Wanja Janeva, the three came together and smashed out the track during an overnight session in a South London studio.
