Mi-Soul were sad to hear of the passing of legendary soul singer and songwriter Bobby Womack aged just 70. Womack who’s career spanned over fifty years was born in Cleveland Ohio on March 4th 1944 and had been suffering from a lengthy series of illnesses.Bobby worked with many artists including his brother Cecil, Sam Cooke, Mary Wells and Patti LaBelle to name a few. He is also the writer of the Rolling Stones first UK number 1 “Its All Over Now”. His many hits include Across 110th Street, If You Think Your Lonely Now, Its A Mans World and Fly Me To The Moon. He was also nominated for a grammy for his work with more recent artists Gorillaz.The cause of the singers death has yet, not been determined but his health issues included diabetes, prostate cancer, heart trouble, colon cancer and pneumonia.His musical legacy will live on for many many generations to come and his sweet soulful voice will be sadly missed.R.I.P.
