Stuart Patterson
Stuart has been at the forefront of London’s cutting-edge club scene for the last fifteen years. From DJing, promoting club nights, programming the highly successful Shoreditch club East Village, fanzines, mix compilations, his record label and his real breakthrough in the 90s with his Soulsonic party. He is regarded as one of the key figures in the London House music scene and revered by his peers.
As a DJ, Stuart has played on every continent and has been behind the decks at most underground House clubs such as Basics, Stealth, Bugged Out, Chibuku and virtually any town in England which has a decent club. It has always been his residencies at the events and clubs he is involved with that have really caught the imagination, be that Soulsonic at the beginning or Faith, The Date and East Village currently.
Patterson has released numerous compilation albums and mix CDs all of which have received critical acclaim. These are Soulsonic – The Mix CD, the first Social Classics Compilation entitled ‘Stuart Patterson Presents Deviant’, the first of the ‘DJs Take Control’ series and ‘Sleazy Beats and Dirty Vibes’ released June 04′ as part of the ‘My Salsoul’ series which saw legendary New York Disco label Salsoul’s back catalogue, re-packaged, re-edited and rejuvenated. The other DJs who have compiled My Salsoul are Grandmaster Flash, Danny Krivit and Joe Claussell so needless to say Stuart was blown away to be invited to add his own interpretation alongside these legends.
