This week’s One to Watch comes from soul music royalty Ledisi , with ‘ Love you too ‘.

Ledisi is an American singer-songwriter, music producer, author and actress – and a familiar name to real soul music enthusiasts . 

Since  bursting onto the scene in 2000 with her first solo album Soulsinger, which featured her previous band Anibade, to her 11th studio album ‘Good Life’ released March last year , Ledisi has consistently delivered.

Her range covers soul , R&B and jazz effortlessly and this year she will be showcasing her vocal talents at the Super Bowl ! Each year, the NFL selects artists to sing the national anthem, as well as “America the Beautiful” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” This year, the latter song — also known colloquially as the “Black National Anthem,” will be sung by Ledisi.

‘Love you too’ is a beautiful ballad with her trademark emotive vocals and evocative story telling . Released now , just in time for Valentines Day .
