This week’s One to Watch comes from incredible UK artist Vula , with ‘Want ur love’.

Vula Malinga, also known as Vula, is a British singer/songwriter who was born in the United States to South African parents. She grew up in Hackney, and has been singing from a young age mostly in church choirs, leading to the position of lead singer of the London Community Gospel Choir. Vula also appears on the Basement Jaxx song Oh My Gosh as the lead vocal, after which she supported fellow Basement Jaxx singer Sam Sparro on his tour. In 2007, she started developing her own music under her own record label DivaGeek Records. Vula has collaborated with various artists including Adele, Dizzee Rascal, Beverly Knight, Sam Sparro, Bugs in the Attic, Nate James and Kano & Ty.
Vula’s versatility has also seen her working with the BBC Proms team and the BBC Concert Orchestra as well as with Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classic events alongside the Heritage Orchestra.
Beyond these collaborations, Vula curates a monthly residency at Ronnie Scotts with her Late Late Show, where she showcases emerging talent and established musicians with special guests dropping in such as Durand Bernarr.
‘Want ur love ‘ is out this week and also included on the upcoming compilation ‘ Ronnie Herel presents Neo Soul Sessions Volume 2 ‘ which is out Jan 2026 , on BBE Records.
