Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Francisca comes from a musical family, she started singing and songwriting from an early age. Debuting on South African TV at the tender age of 8, Francisca went on to work as a professional singer supporting American artists Joe, Keith Sweat, and Deborah Cox when they appeared in Cape Town. She was also invited to sing the American National Anthem for the Harlem Globe Trotters (twice) when they were touring South Africa.
Francisca arrived in the UK at the beginning of 2007 – later that year she met UK soul legend, Kenny Thomas and they married in 2008.
Francisca’s UK performance credits include Alexander O’Neal, Beverley Knight, Kim Wilde, Tony Hadley, Errol Reid (China Black), Leee John (Imagination), Junior Giscombe – as well as sharing the stage with her husband.
Music aside, Francisca’s other passions are Boxing, Kick-boxing, and Salsa Dancing and as with her singer-songwriter achievements, she has become accomplished in each one.
Francisca is a prolific songwriter – writing for both herself and her husband.
One of those tracks, ‘Fall Into My Love’ has been given an Incognito twist by the masterful combination of Bluey and Richard Bull. The result is the track you’re hearing this week, debuting on Splash Blue.

Sharna Bass - 'In Love'
UK songstress Sharna Bass, originally from North West London, met hitmakers, Clean Bandit, when she was just 13 years old and went on to record their hit ‘Extraordinary’ a few years later in 2014. Since then Sharna dropped the killer single ‘Buss A 9’ from her seven-track EP ‘Beautiful Chaos’. The single we featured was her take on the original songstress Anita Baker’s – ‘Sweet Love’. Shana’s version called ‘In Love’ is delivered with total respect and making it her own with woozy modern day vocals.

Judi has sung with and shared a stage with a myriad of world-class talents including Mavis Staples and last spring Jackson performed her original song ‘Only Love’ with Grammy Award-winning fusion band Snarky Puppy. Influenced by the likes of Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald. The accomplished singer and songwriter as has been described as possessing a tone and poise beyond her years at the age of 24.
Ajia - 'Hype'

Produced by multi-talented Ryan Price the EP includes previous releases ‘Real Love’ with its jazz postulations, layered harmonies and ‘Flavours’ which talks about unity. Roc Nation personally requested her to join the Rihanna writing camp that took place in London in 2016. Noel McKoy is a British-based soul music singer. His music is a collection of soul, gospel, funk and Northern soul. McKoy's musical journey started when he and his siblings released the songs 'I'm Lucky' and 'Family' in 1989. His latest album, Brighter Days, was released in 2009 under soul label Tri-Sound.
Ruff Diamond, Taz, Wanja Janeva - Extra High
Manchester, UK based record label SupaEarth Records let off their latest release – SUPA003 - ‘Extra High’. ‘Extra High’ is a collaboration between UK based DJ / Producer Ruff Diamond, Glitterbox Recordings signed artist TAZ, and the aspiring, and much-loved Berlin artist- Wanja Janeva. A serious funk heavy 120 BPM Disco track, the story behind this record is an interesting one. Earlier this year, TAZ was perched at the top of the Traxsource Chart feat alongside Inaya Day on the legendary Mousse T’s outstanding record ‘Rock The Mic’ (Glitterbox Recordings / Defected Records), a track that you now hear regularly played out everywhere. Combining with the talents of Wanja Janeva, the three came together and smashed out the track during an overnight session in a South London studio.

This week’s One to Watch is a track by Lukas Setto. Raised on the essential mix of Michael Jackson, Marvin Gay & Stevie and the wonders of his DJ Dad’s record collection, Lee studied popular music at Stanmore College, Middlesex and it was there he was to craft his first composition. Later he explored the collective vocal harmony experience with a boy band but then realised that to graft solo was to be his way forward.
