We’re excited to reveal our festive schedule in its full glory!
This year we’ve invited back a few familiar faces, plus our specialist and daytime presenters will be hosting festive specials across the Christmas period.
On Christmas Day, Glitterbox’s Melvo Baptiste will be returning to the station for his yearly festive special, and specialist DJ Michael Gray will be putting together a four hour show covering the best of 2021 releases, classic house, old-school soul and disco, plus a guest mix from Late Night Disco.
On Boxing Day, there will be a two hour special from BBC and ex Mi-Soul Radio presenter Edward Adoo:
‘On Boxing Day I will be heading back to my eternal radio home. I spent over four great years at Mi-Soul. Without Mi-Soul I wouldn’t have ended up with regular BBC radio shows, so I owe a lot to the station in particular Gordon Mac for giving me a chance and a platform to be on the radio. This year I have decided to share one of my recent mixes recorded at The Arts Club in Mayfair – expect to hear tracks from the likes of Raw Silk, Kerri Chandler and Caribbean Sextet, plus lots of other gems thrown in for good measure. It will be the perfect afternoon soundtrack.’
New Years Day will see specialist DJ Mark Knight treating us to his top 10 records of the year, plus four mini mixes from Alex Preston, Sgt Slick, Michael Gray and Carl Cox.
Mi-Soul head honcho Gordon Mac will also be returning for his yearly festive special on Wednesday the 22nd, plus Janice Vee and Lorraine Ashdown will be hosting a Secret Santa Lucky Dip for listeners to enter on Christmas Eve.
