If you were lucky enough to be down at the Margate Soul Festival last weekend you may have caught S.E.L live on the #SunsetStage on Sunday performing her single, ‘Elevation’. Mi-Soul Radio have been pumping this amazing tune out for weeks – we can’t get enough.  Also – you may have also noticed that this young soulful songstress was also one of the formidable backing singers for Soul II Soul on Sunday’s main stage. We caught up with her after the event to find out what she thought of Kent’s biggest Soul festival.This is what S.E.L has to say about The Margate Soul Festival…‘Margate Soul Festival – Wow! What an honour to be asked to perform at such an amazingly, authentic, vibrant festival. This is a festival put on by real Soul music lovers, for real soul music Lovers. Margate Soul Festival, in my opinion epitomises the essence of what Mi-Soul is all about. Seeing the energetic vibe from the venues as you drive down to the main stages, unlike any other festival I have performed at. My performance experience? I was bowled over by the crowd chanting the chorus to my song! Being approached by audience members after the performance, saying that they had been singing along to ‘Elevation’ on Mi-soul for weeks and it was a true honour to finally see who sings it. Others saying, they had bought the single on the spot! It was a true blessing to not only have performed my own set, but then to perform with my Music family Soul2Soul!
